Garlic Naan Bread
1/4 (60ml) cup warm water
2 teaspoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons (7g) active dry yeast
3/4 (180ml) cup warm milk
3/4 cup (168g) greek yoghurt
1/4 cup (60ml) vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
4 cups (480g) flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1. Combine water, sugar and yeast and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes
2. Add in milk, yoghurt, oil, garlic, flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well
3. Turn dough onto floured surface and knead until smooth
4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl. Cover and allow to rest for 1 hour or until doubled in size
5. Separate in 10 equal parts. Roll into balls, then roll out each piece into a thin oval
6. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Grease with little oil
7. Place one piece of Naan in the skillet and cook until bubbles appear on surface. Flip and cook other side
8. Top with melted garlic butter and sprinkle with parsley or coriander
