about me

I was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and moved to Munich, Germany in 1985.

What was meant to be a one year stay for work, turned out to be a life long move away from my beloved country of birth and my family.

It was definitely very hard at first, but I quickly learned the language, made good friends, learned to live on my own, and of course found love.

I have three beautiful grown daughters that are all my pride and motivate me each and every day of my life.

I am also a proud member of a very big and united family that is mainly spread in Germany, Venezuela and the United States.

My home, or my "happy place" as I like to call it, and everything that has to do with it has always been my passion.  I absolutely love to host, so through the years, my  collection of recipes has grown and grown.

That is the reason why I decided to start this compilation of my favorite recipes to have them all in one place rather than looking through books, hand written papers or the internet, and also to be able to share them easily. For me, cooking is a heart thing. It relaxes me, lets me be daring trying new things (no limits set!) and I can so easily make someone happy with a good dish made with love.

Writing down a recipe is a challenge for me because I don't actually follow recipes. I have them all pretty much in my head, so writing down cups, tablespoons, teaspoons, etc., and translating some into English is not easy. It's a challenge but most definitely a fun one!
