Chocolate Brownie Cookies


1 pound (450g) semisweet chocolate, chopped
4 tablespoons (56g) butter
4 large eggs, room temperature
1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
1/2 cup (106g) brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (60g) flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 cups (340g) semisweet chocolate chips

1. melt chocolate, and butter together

2. beat sugar and eggs until thick and pale. About 5 minutes. Beat in vanilla and salt

3. with a spatula, fold in chocolate first, and then the flour and baking powder

4. pour batter in a shallow baking dish, cover, and place in freezer until chilled and firm

5. line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Scoop 2 tablespoon-size mounds of dough and place on baking sheets. Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 10 minutes. Cool completely before serving
