Onion Bread

 

2 cups onions, thinly sliced
50 grams butter
300 grams flour
1 teaspoon salt or more if you prefer a salty bread
1 teaspoon baking soda
230 milliliters buttermilk

1. slowly cook onions in butter avoiding browning too soon. Remove when golden and tender. Allow to cool

2. mix  flour, salt, baking soda and buttermilk. Add onions, and mix till well combine

3. divide in 6.  Place on a lined and floured baking sheet, and bake at 180° for 15-20 minutes
