French Onion Dip
1 cup (135g) sweet onion (such as Vidalia), diced
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon oil
1/2 cup (110g) mayonnaise
1 cup (250g) sour cream
1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
dash of sweet paprika powder
pepper to taste
1. heat butter and oil in a saucepan. Add diced onion and cook for 15 minutes until browned and caramelized stirring often. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature
2. mix rest of ingredients, add cooled onion. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving!
