Doughnut Holes

 

1/4 cup (50g) margarine or dairy-free margarine for a vegan version
4 fluid ounces (120ml) almond milk
2 tablespoons oil
1 1/2 cups (250g) flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup (50g) sugar

1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon powder

1. melt margarine, milk and oil in a small saucepan

2. mix flour, baking powder, salt & sugar. Add melted mixture and mix well. The dough should be wet and thick

3. heat oil for deep frying. With the help of an ice scoop or similar, carefully drop pieces of dough in the size of your choice into hot oil. Fry for 2-3 minutes or until nicely browned turning them frequently with a slotted spoon. Fry in batches without overfilling the saucepan. Allow to cool on kitchen paper

4. mix sugar and cinnamon and roll doughnut holes in mixture until fully covered
