No-Knead Bread

 



3 cups (410g) all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast
1 1/2 cups (360ml) warm water (aprox. 100-110°F/37-43°C)

1. in a large bowl, whisk flour, salt and yeast together

2. add water and mix with a spatula until well combined. The dough will be sticky. Should it be too sticky, add some some flour

3. cover with plastic wrap or a kitchen towel and allow to rest at room temperature for at least 5 hours or overnight

4. preheat oven to 450°F (230°C) When the temperature has been reached, place a dutch oven with its lid in the oven

5. flour counter well, and pour dough onto counter. Sprinkle generously with flour. Move the dough around with a dough scraper (do not knead!) until the dough is no longer sticky. Transfer dough to a parchment paper and place it in the hot dutch oven. Cover with the lid and bake for 30min. After 30min., uncover and bake for 20-30 minutes or until nicely browned
